Privacy policy
Overgrowth is a garden defence game for a general audience, including families and children. This policy explains information stored by the game and information processed when its optional advertising features are used.
Your game and device
Overgrowth does not require an account. Your progress, unfinished run, upgrades, Garden Journal, research timers, rewards, sound settings and display preferences are stored locally on your device. We do not upload your saved garden or provide a cloud-save account. Artwork, music and sound effects are included with the app, and ordinary gameplay works offline.
Research progress while the app is closed is calculated locally using the device's clock. Local reward records prevent the same harvest bonus from being credited twice.
Deleting the app or clearing its local data can remove your progress. Your operating system may provide backup or restore features under its own settings and privacy terms. Overgrowth does not provide its own cross-device recovery service.
Optional reward videos
You can choose to watch a Google AdMob reward video after an eligible run to receive the nectar bonus shown before playback. Your ordinary harvest is saved first. Videos are optional: declining, an unavailable ad or a cancelled video does not remove the rewards you already earned. Ad videos need an internet connection. Overgrowth does not request banners or automatic ads during gameplay.
The mobile app includes Google's Mobile Ads SDK and User Messaging Platform, which manages applicable privacy messages. Google may process information such as:
- Device and app information, including advertising or app-scoped identifiers where available under your settings.
- Your IP address, which can be used to estimate a general location.
- Ad delivery and interaction information, such as ads shown, video views and taps.
- App and SDK interactions, crash information, performance and other diagnostics.
Google uses this information for purposes including delivering and measuring advertising, operating its services, and preventing fraud. Google's SDK data handling also includes sharing described in its own policies. These advertising services are separate from your locally saved garden.
Overgrowth applies child-directed advertising protections and a general-audience ad-content limit to every player. It requests non-personalised ads and disables Google's publisher first-party identifier feature. We do not collect a date of birth or ask players to identify their age. This does not mean that Google collects no information. We have not added a separate service to upload gameplay analytics, and no additional advertising mediation providers are enabled in this version.
Read how Google uses information from apps that use its services and Google's Privacy Policy. Google's SDK disclosure information is available for iPhone and Android.
Your privacy choices
The app checks Google's privacy information when it opens. We apply the privacy system's under-age protection to every player, so the app does not ask children to agree to personalised advertising. It only requests ads when Google's privacy system permits them. If privacy information cannot be obtained, the video offer stays unavailable and normal gameplay remains available.
Where Google requires an ongoing privacy-options entry, you can reopen Ad privacy choices from the game's Settings. Your device's own privacy settings can also restrict or reset advertising identifiers. Overgrowth does not currently ask for Apple's cross-app tracking permission. These controls do not erase information a provider has already processed; consult Google's privacy tools for its data.
Support messages
If you email us, we receive the information you choose to send, such as your email address, message, device details or screenshots. We use it to respond, investigate problems and maintain support records. Do not include information you do not want to share. We keep support information only as long as needed for these purposes and applicable obligations; contact us to request access, correction or deletion.
Age and family use
Overgrowth can be used by families and children. We apply the same protective advertising settings to everyone, rather than collecting ages or asking younger players to consent to broader advertising use. Google is instructed to treat ad requests as child-directed and to use a general-audience content limit. These controls restrict advertising; they do not mean that the advertising SDK processes no data. Parents or guardians can contact tom@onsavii.com with questions or to request access, correction or deletion of information they have sent to us.
Storage, security and provider processing
Your local save is held in the app's device storage and is subject to the security and access controls of your device. Google states that its advertising SDK transmits its collected data using encrypted connections. No method of storage or transmission can guarantee absolute security.
Google and its service providers may process information in countries other than where you live, under their applicable privacy terms. Google controls its own provider retention periods and privacy processes. We do not set a separate retention period for Google's ad records or receive a copy of your local saved game through the ad SDK.
Changes and contact
We may update this policy as Overgrowth changes. The current policy will identify its effective date. For questions about the game or this policy, contact Globe Valley Pty Ltd at tom@onsavii.com.
